{"id":2632,"date":"2016-05-02T15:14:25","date_gmt":"2016-05-02T22:14:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theeduca.mywhc.ca\/?p=2632"},"modified":"2016-05-02T15:14:25","modified_gmt":"2016-05-02T22:14:25","slug":"will-a-secretary-get-to-heaven","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ashlarcollege.ca\/ashlar-archived\/will-a-secretary-get-to-heaven\/","title":{"rendered":"Will a Secretary get to Heaven ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>Will a Secretary get to Heaven??<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><u>A Tribute to our unsung heroes\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 No one will admit to being the Author!<br \/>\n<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>If a Secretary writes a letter, it is too long<\/p>\n<p>If he sends a post card, its too short.<\/p>\n<p>If he doesn&#8217;t send a notice, he&#8217;s lazy.<\/p>\n<p>If he attends a committee meeting, he&#8217;s butting in.<\/p>\n<p>If he duns a member for dues, he&#8217;s insulting.<\/p>\n<p>If he fails to collect dues, he&#8217;s slipping<\/p>\n<p>If he asks for advice, he&#8217;s incompetent.<\/p>\n<p>If he does not, he&#8217;s bull-headed.<\/p>\n<p>If he writes reports complete, they&#8217;re too long.<\/p>\n<p>If he condenses them, they&#8217;re incomplete<\/p>\n<p>If he talks on a subject, he&#8217;s trying to run things.<\/p>\n<p>If he remains silent, he lost interest<\/p>\n<p>Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.<\/p>\n<p>If others won&#8217;t do it, the Secretary must.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Comment<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a Past Secretary, and a bunch of others things, I feel that sometimes, we take ourselves much too seriously.
