{"id":2736,"date":"2016-08-22T09:12:09","date_gmt":"2016-08-22T16:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theeduca.mywhc.ca\/?p=2736"},"modified":"2016-08-22T09:12:09","modified_gmt":"2016-08-22T16:12:09","slug":"a-journey-to-the-spirit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ashlarcollege.ca\/ashlar-archived\/a-journey-to-the-spirit\/","title":{"rendered":"A Journey to the Spirit"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><u>A Journey to the Spirit<\/u><\/h3>\n<h5><u>INTRODUCTION<\/u><\/h5>\n<p>Over my past 60 years as a Freemason I have witnessed, and even participated in, the conferral of ceremonies wherein the brethren responsible for the delivery of same have had little or no understanding of the Esoteric nature of the ceremony itself.<\/p>\n<p>Why this is so I attribute to the lack of Masonic Education dealing with such matters resulting in the perpetuation of this practice even to this day.<\/p>\n<p>This brings me to <strong>WHY<\/strong> I have decided to compile this Manual and my sharing it with you &#8220;The Reader&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For clarification I offer the following:-<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Due to the many rituals being practiced in the World Wide Masonic Community all references to workings are referred to as &#8220;Ceremonies&#8221;. This being the case, the reader is, of necessity, requested to apply the information provided herein to the particular ritual that he is most familiar with.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Descriptions, explanations etc. are those which I have personally developed over the years and which I have no difficulty sharing with you the Reader.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>The title &#8220;A Journey to the Spirit&#8221; has been chosen,\u00a0 as it helps to emphasize that, in my opinion, Freemasonry is a &#8220;Personal Spiritual Journey&#8221;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>My fervent hope is, that through my efforts in compiling this manual, more light will be brought to Brethren, both old and new and, in doing so, make their Masonic journey much more pleasant, relaxing &amp; informative.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong>My apologies are offered regarding the frequent use of \u201cI \u201c.
