{"id":501,"date":"2011-05-07T22:52:38","date_gmt":"2011-05-08T05:52:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theeduca.mywhc.ca\/?p=501"},"modified":"2011-05-07T22:52:38","modified_gmt":"2011-05-08T05:52:38","slug":"what-it-means-to-be-a-brother","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ashlarcollege.ca\/ashlar-archived\/what-it-means-to-be-a-brother\/","title":{"rendered":"What it Means to be a Brother?"},"content":{"rendered":"<address style=\"text-align: center;\">My Brother, Masonry means more<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">Than just to wear a pin,<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">Or carrying a dues receipt<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">So the Lodge will let you in.<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">You wear an emblem on your coat<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">And on your hand a ring,<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">But if you\u2019re not sincere at heart,<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">This doesn\u2019t mean a thing<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">It\u2019s just an outward sign to show<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">The world that you belong,<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">To this Fraternal Brotherhood<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">That teaches right from wrong.<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">What really counts lies buried deep<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">Within the human breast,<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">Masonic teachings brings it out<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">And puts it to the test<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">If you can do outside the Lodge<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">The things you learn within,<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">Be just and upright to yourself<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">And to your fellow man.<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">Console a brother when he\u2019s sick,<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">Or help him when in need<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">Without a thought of reward<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">For any act or deed.<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">Conduct yourself in such a way<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">The world without can see.<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">None but the best can meet the test<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">Laid down by Masonry.<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">Respect and live up to your trust<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">And be the best you can.<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\">The you can tell the World you are,<\/address>\n<address style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>A MASON AND A MAN.<\/strong><\/address>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My Brother, Masonry means more Than just to wear a pin, Or carrying a dues receipt So the Lodge will let you in.
